In 2022, SACSS is honored to have served 175,000+ and reached 250,000+ community members!

Food Pantry:

This year, we distributed 739,440 grocery bags and home delivered 20,400 grocery bags to chronically ill or disabled individuals and patients recovering from COVID-19. We served over 7,110  families, which adds up to over 28,440 individuals!

Healthcare access:

We enrolled 1,475 individuals in health insurance (Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, financial assistance, and charity care) and provided 1832 individuals with post-enrolment assistance. We cumulatively conducted healthcare outreach for over 53,000 individuals.

Senior Services:

We served 10,500 seniors this year through a multitude of programs, including 1,860 wellness calls, 104 senior center days which engaged 25 seniors on an average, workshops, supportive and individual counseling, benefits assistance and 4 senior outdoor trips.

Civic Engagement:

We provided over 100 individuals with voter registration assistance and additionally engaged 110,000 Individuals in Voter education.

Mental Health:

We conducted and curated over 425 counseling sessions for 42 individuals, along with 360 counseling sessions for 36 seniors. Cumulatively, we managed to deliver 785 counseling sessions to 78 individuals!

This year, we helped provide legal assistance – from naturalization applications to renewing passport and fee waivers – to 45 individuals through over 310 legal clinic sessions. From

Public Benefits:

We connected over 1,225 unique clients to a variety of public benefits, including, SNAP, access-a-ride, SSI, SSDI, Unemployment benefits, cash assistance, free medicaid cell phone, WIC,  financial assistance, and rental assistance programs.
