Digital Media Superstars Sree Sreenivasan and Hena Doba To Co-Emcee SACSS’ Gala

We could not be more thrilled to welcome the South Asian-American digital media superstars Sree Sreenivasan  and Hena Doba as co-emcees of SACSS’ 2022 gala, “Coming Together, Striving Forward”!

Renowned technology journalist and thought leader, Sree Sreenivasan, who also was our 2020 virtual gala emcee and a previous SACSS honoree, will be emceeing SACSS Gala 2022 with Hena Doba, news anchor of Cheddar News and SACSS board member.

Sree Sreenivasan is a journalist, academic, and digital media thought leader. Cofounder of Digimentors, a social, digital and virtual events consultancy, and Managing Director of Cronkite Pro, Sreenivasan has continuously pushed the field of journalism to be more inclusive and innovative. His wide-ranging experience also includes his positions as Former Chief Digital Officer of the City of New York; Columbia University; Metropolitan Museum of Art. Named by Newsweek as one of the 20 most influential South Asians in the U.S. and by Fast Company magazine as one of the Most Creative People of the year, Sreenivasan is a trailblazing member of the South Asian community. Hena Doba was raised in all parts of Queens, a first-generation Pakistani immigrant. Formerly a National Correspondent for CBS News in New York, she is currently an anchor for Cheddar News, a news network that is at the cutting edge of digital news, media, and entertainment. The first Pakistani news anchor in the country, Doba has been a driving force at the forefront of diversified and inclusive representation in national news and reporting. At Cheddar News, Doba anchors Between Bells and the evening news show, the News Wrap and other special weekly shows like All Hands: Race Toward Inclusion, and Cheddar Climate.

We feel very lucky to have thought leader Sree Sreenivasan and extraordinary news leader, Hena Doba as the 2022 co-emcees for our first in-person Gala since the pandemic.
